FLAMENCO EN EL CINE - three features films as part of the Festival Flamenco Alburquerque program

Flamenco en el Cine is a program of the National Institute of Flamenco's Festival Flamenco Alburquerque, is presented with support from The Bernalillo County Film Office. This event is free and open to the public! 


Vengo  (11:15 am)  - Tony Gatliff's majestic dramatic ode to the artistry of flamenco, set against a compelling backdrop of two Romani families locked in an age-old struggle for power. Run time: 87 minutes


Impulso (1:30 pm) - Emilio Belmonte's captivating documentary follows the iconoclastic Rocío Molina in her creation of Impulso for its debut at the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris. Run time: 85 minutes


Carmen Amaya: Granizo Sobre Los Cristales (3:15 pm) - David Prats' documentary examines the complex life of the legendary Carmen Amaya through a series of interviews, recovered footage, and the memories of her nephew, Diego Amaya. Run time: 45 minutes
