The Winter Solstice hits on Dec. 21, making it the longest night of 2013.  That means this Saturday is just about the darkest day of the year. Dark Matters Film Festival is celebrating this dark day by presenting another annual installment of Horror Bites! This all-day collection of short films features a shadowy selection of hand-picked horror, science fiction and dark fantasy from around the globe. Shorts are organized into several themed programming blocks, so you can choose your favorite form of darkness.
